Cursus is an extension to Agenda that lets you take bookings for events, either alongside FormIt or Commerce if you'd like to take payments online.
Have you set up calendars and events with Agenda and would now like to accept reservations or bookings for individual events? Then Cursus is just right for you!
Cursus offers you additional options and flexibility when managing participants at an event. Perhaps these are participants in a conference, time slots for one-to-one coaching or time slots for reserving meeting rooms in your office building. With Cursus, you can allow users to register themselves in the frontend and manage the registrations from the backend
Once registered, Cursus can send your participants, trainers and location owners automatic reminders for events at various flexibly definable times. For example, you can automatically send your participants an email with further information the day before an event or ask them for feedback after the event.
You can also send emails asynchronously via a mail queue. This mail queue can be restricted so that only a certain number of emails are sent per minute/hour/day.
To allow users to register for events from your website, you can use FormIt to create a custom form and use the included hook to assign the attendee to a specific event (time slot).
If attendees need to pay to book an event, an integration with Commerce is also available. The attendee seat is reserved until the customer has completed their order. Alternatively, the reservation is cancelled after some time.
Depending on the complexity of your use case, setting up the full workflow may require a bit of custom coding. Treehill Studio is available for consulting on this.
Cursus allows a vast amount of customisation, including the ability to define custom fields for each event and each booking. you can attach iCalendar data to confirmation emails, and much, much more. Many of these capabilities are enabled through the provided settings, but extending Cursus through modules is also possible.
Cursus is a premium extra brought to you by Treehill Studio, the Münsterland (Germany) based agency of MODX core developer Thomas Jakobi.
